Featured: Great North Battle 2025 Wildcard (2nd Place) and Elimination (1st Place)
‘Indoor Joystick’ is an original halftime/drum and bass track I created for Great North Battle 2025.
I ended up using this track for the wildcard competition and live eliminations in Toronto, ranking 2nd and 1st respectively. This track merges emotional melodies with heavy bass music, with a splash of uk dubstep influence that can be observed in the sound palette. Indoor Joystick is a piece that combines flavors of my style throughout the years, with sentimental lyrics from my early work to battle ready drops from the Beatland era, showing a great balance that makes this track most suitable for wildcards and eliminations.
(Fun fact: I created this song as a house/garage track of 130 bpm at first, then sped it up to meet the wildcard time limit)
