‘Pebbles’ is a genre-blending track that cannot be truly defined. With traces of bass house, bounce and irish jigging magic, ‘Pebbles’ was made with a distinct 6/8 groove. Debuting as a fake out wildcard for GBB24, ‘Pebbles’ has gone through multiple reworks.
This version of ‘Pebbles’ was created as a battle track for GBB24, which unfortunately never saw the light of day on stage. This version set the structure and sound design fundamentals for the 150 bpm version, with no sounds reused from the fake wildcard version.
This VIP version also represented the debut of the lyrics and MB14 shoutout, which defined the track later on. Combining old school loop techniques with heavy input, vocal stacking and cable utilization, ‘Pebbles’ sure is a fun track to perform and display a wide array of loop techniques.
